Scottish fans set record for crowd noise at World Cup game

Scottish fans have made a name for themselves this month by becoming the loudest crowd in World Cup history, reaching 125 dB during a pre-match national anthem. While not surprising given the excitement around this year’s games, it’s definitely a good reminder to wear hearing protection at sporting events. Noise isn’t always a nuisance, but at decibels like these, it is definitely harmful.
