The European Union Against Aircraft Nuisances (UECNA) will host a webinar this month featuring Eulalia Peris, an environmental noise expert and author of the European Environment Agency Noise Report. Ms. Peris, a researcher at Public Health England, will discuss the report’s findings.  The webinar is on April 16, 18:00 Central European Time (12 noon on the East Coast, 9 a.m. in Los Angeles). Free sign-up here.

UECNA is the only Europe-wide organization that represents communities affected by aviation noise at the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the International Civil Aviation Organization. No organization like UECNA exists in the United States. Instead, the Federal Aviation Administration knowingly and deliberately allows Americans to be exposed to levels of aircraft noise calculated by the Environmental Protection Agency to be unsafe.

We hope those affected by aviation noise in the United States will look to UECNA as a model for how to approach this life-threatening health problem.
