Peter Wilson, BSc, MSc, joins the QC Scientific Advisory Council with more than 40 years of experience in acoustics and vibration engineering. Beginning his career in the automotive industry, Peter quickly built a reputation for designing innovative, award‑winning noise‑control solutions, including the aerodynamic fan noise control and acoustic barrier technologies.

As technical director at the UK-based Industrial Noise & Vibration Centre and a Member of the Institute of Acoustics, Peter is known for pairing technical expertise with an engaging presentation style, aided, he admits, by years of doing stand‑up comedy as a hobby. Peter has also spoken at conferences worldwide, and most recently provided technical support for the Irish EPA’s 2024–2025 noise‑guidance updates.

His work reflects a lifelong commitment to practical, science‑based solutions that reduce harmful noise and improve quality of life.
