QC Convenes Pickleball Noise Task Force
The National Task Force on Pickleball Noise, organized by Quiet Communities, has released a beta version of a fact-based website to help community leaders make informed decisions about siting pickleball courts. Current research indicates that courts should not be located within 350 feet of homes, and that noise impacts may remain difficult to mitigate even at distances up to 1,000 feet. The website was launched in time to inform officials in Martinez, CA, ahead of their recent decision to close courts located just 50–100 feet from nearby residences, underscoring the growing recognition of this issue. We look forward to sharing an official link to the site soon, full release at the end of April.
