With gas-powered maintenance a growing problem for communities around the country, Quiet Communities will host an exciting speaker and demonstration event with co-hosts with Maplewood Township (NJ) and the American Green Zone Alliance. The workshop entitled The Future of Landscape Maintenance: Clean, Green, and Profitable, will be held Tuesday, October 17th, 9 am−1:30 pm at The Woodland (60 Woodland Rd, Maplewood, NJ). The Workshop includes presentations and Q&A led by health, business, campus, and community leaders, followed by a hands-on demonstration of the latest commercial grade electric battery-powered equipment. The Speaker Roster features Dr. Leonard Bielory of NJ’s Clean Air Council, Dr. Lucy Weinstein, Chair of Long Island Chapter’s Environmental Health Committee, Dan Mabe, President of the American Green Zone Alliance; Sheila Pautsch from the city of South Pasadena – the first in the nation to be maintained with all-electric equipment – and other leaders.
