Creating a certified AGZA Green Zone is an excellent way to demonstrate environmental leadership by reducing emissions, noise, waste, and carbon footprint. It’s high optics and low cost!
Green Zone certification was developed by the American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA) which has partnered with Quiet Communities to introduce these sustainable land care initiatives to communities in the Eastern United States. With AGZA, Quiet Communities helped the The Town of Southampton, NY establish the first AGZA Green Zone park in the Eastern United States.
Green Zones are suitable for most properties maintained with gas-powered equipment – for example, school campuses, town parks, hospitals, commercial properties, multi-residential developments – even sports fields and golf courses. More than 25 Green Zones are being maintained today, in some cases for less money than for gasoline-based maintenance.
A structured implementation program ensures that the right equipment and methods are employed to maintain the property at the same aesthetic and level of productivity achieved with gas-based maintenance, but without the noise, emissions, and toxic waste.
- Sponsors benefit from high optics at a low cost, building their reputation as an environmental leader.
- Workers get the training they need to operate, handle, and store equipment and benefit from healthier working conditions and greater scheduling flexibility.
- Residents and visitors benefit from a quieter, cleaner, healthier environment and better quality of life.
